when gambling hurts. where do you draw the line? the jackpot machine which i had tried several times some moons back was good a lesson to teach me how i could easily have parted with my hard-earned money. it's about a friend who has been badly hurt by it. he loves horse-racing. and on every horse-racing day he will be no where except the turf club. he claims to have won each time. but the way i see it his total winnings are just a fraction of his losses. now he is beginning to ignore his family and has started to borrow money. as a friend i'm just concerned, as i have told him. we talk a lot but all these have only fallen on deaf ears. do you have any comments my dear myLotters. i thank you in advance and have a wonderful day ahead:)

In this case, you have to draw the line for him. It seems he's desperate to get back all of his losses and i don't think that's what he needs to be thinking. It's going to be hard for him to resist this so you have to find a way to make him stop.

whoa what a story. I do not know any one personally who goes through this but unfortunately my older brother is not good with money and it is sad to watch him every time he is in debt. $-MrDollars-$

I'm so sorry. Yes it's sad. Do you think he needs help like counselling. I believe what you said that some people are good with money while some are not.

Yeap! 'realization'. Agree!

If I knew that counseling would help then I would get him to see someone. Otherwise, he needs to realise what he is doing for that being one step to recovery. $-MrDollars-$

Hi Tom, I don't really go into gambling, and no one does in the family. Some thought it can help but how much would you spend before winning the jackpot? I don't want to see myself believing that my luck is in gambling and live in a hope that someday I will hit the jackpot. The probability for me is at high risk not to win in gambling. I don't trust my luck in gambling. I can still win the jackpot prize not investing money through the raffle draws perhaps, that I can say my best luck.

And to your friend, be a friend to him at his worst, like you often do to me, pull him out and bring him to the light. Good day to you...:)

I know of people who used to be rich but gamblers and ended up as beggars.Don't stop advising your friend to quit his passion or he might lose his love ones. Regrets always comes last.

I feel sad to that guy. He must change the way of life if its not too late for him. What he will do will just make his life more worse than he thought.
