Which smartphone for you?

So recently I've become rather disenfranchised with the whole iPhone and AT&T thing. Don't get me wrong: the iPhone is an excellent smartphone, but there is absolutely no reliability in AT&T anymore for me. I've lost over 15 calls in the last two weeks from the Southern California area alone which has caused me to look into other carriers. I'm not into the idea of attempting to unlock the phone and put it on another carrier; so with that in mind what do you all think of the most recent smart phones on other carriers like the Droid for Verizon or the Nexus One? Is there one you prefer and if so why?
