In the past few days I have cancelled a credit card, and have been kept waiting for 3 days for a technician to come and install a new service. The credit card company decided to raise its interest rate because it had taken on to many risky customers. When I called and asked why I, who has a great credit score should be punished because they (the company) have too many bad customers who are not paying their cards.I was told this was their final decision, so I said I had made a final decision and please cancel my card with it's credit balance to be mailed to me immediately. The second is I was called by my telephone/INTERNET carrier and was told I was to be given an upgrade so that my TV/INTERNET would be going extremely fast. They were supposed to arrive on some time on Friday, they didn't show. I phoned on Friday night and was told someone didn't put the order in properly, but that they would be out on Saturday for sure, they didn't show. and today I am sitting here waiting for them. So far nothing. When I phone I get stupid excuses and it is always some one else screwed up. but "we are so sorry" Well we are so sorry doesn't cut it any more. I am going to call the supervisor tomorrow and ask them if they had made arrangements for me to be home and 3 times I wasn't there why would they keep trying to send out some one for me. I know they wouldn't I am just frustrated by the lack of customer service and business integrity. Any one else see this as problem. I would love to hear from you and hear your story

Mmmm..let me guess is the telephone/internet with Verizon? First of all with any company it seems you hardly are ever able to get a real person, just that automated garbage, like press one for Internet, press two for phone, press three for cable, press four for..well you get the idea. Then nine times out of ten when you do finally get a real person to talk to it's usually some call center in India. I think the key though is to call early in the day. Calling at night and you're most likely to get their call center in Asia. Did anyone come yet today? All phone customer service for the most part sucks..I often feel like throwing the phone out the window.

I finely got my problem resolved, but it took a huge effort on my part to get it. It seems that I had to do a lot of leg(phoning) work to get it, I did get several contact numbers to call in the future, as well I now have a "history" with my phone company. Not quite to the possibility of me yelling Frog, and have every one jump, but they do at least pay attention to what I am asking for.

Robin I can't tell you how shocking customer service as gone over it, it's a complete joke and we even have shows dedicated to pointing out the flaws in these types of companies. I'm tired of calling customer support lines, only having to be put on hold for upto an hour and then spend around the same amount of time talking to someone who doesn't know what they're doing. I work as a waiter and I strive to give customer service, I really don't know what as gotten into companies these days. I think it's due to people not switching or canceling subscriptions, this includes myself. Companies seem to know we won't move or if we do more will join them. It's very sad that they don't strive to do more, having said that last time I contacted the company which I get my TV subscription from I got a very nice person on the phone who even pushed for discount in what we play.
