In my country, more and more people are committing suicide due to poverty. I personally, stack up my schedule with exercise to make myself feel alive. What do you do?

My country too faces the same problem. There are millions who are living a hand to mouth existence and below the poverty line.High cost of living has made life unbearable not only the poor but also the middle class who are desperately trying to make ends meet and fighting for survival. On my part i too suffered a few hard blows financially in the last couple of years. Being retired and disabled has compounded my problems and multiplied them. However what has saved me is spirituality and my full faith in God. It is said that when a door closes then a new door opens. Opportunities are coming and i am trying to make the most of them.Spirituality has given me courage and will power to withstand the travails and tribulations of this troubled life.

These days we are dealing with unemployment and a daughter that had a bad traffic accident that insurance denied help to. I guess it could be gloomy but I like to read uplifting stories, (this one isn't easy but it really helps me - praising God for what He has given us), exercise is definitely good, doing something for someone else like listening to them or helping them complete a job. I find most of all that when I give to others, it takes my mind off of my life. Is that what Mother Therasa (I hope the spelling is right) did? My heart hurts that poverty would be so bad. We were not meant to live this way. Thank you for your question.
