Hi everyone.. Im an expectant mom..almost 15weeks pregnant..care to share the name of your baby and why you give that name..or if it has meaning..what it is?.. Me 1st..if its a boy i would name my baby IRIS JOEHAN..Iris from a greek word which mean "Rainbow" the second name is Johan from hebrew word means "GOD is gracious". i just add E for JOHAN to make it Joehan to have it personalize with the fathers name.. if its a girl..it will be IRIS JOEHANNA..female version of Iris Joehan..same meaning.. My baby will serve as my rainbow..im sure he/she will add color to my life. Joehan..very true..GOD is really gracious to me.. How about you?..whats the meaning of your baby name...

Hello ms_singlemama, My little princess name is quite unique...it's actually the combination of family member's name from my grandma down to her aunt(my sister)..Shanissa Mey Elyanne....& i thought her name doesn't mean anything because I made it myself but when i check a baby's name meaning book...shanissa means Gracious, Mey means beautiful in chinese & elyanne -the Lord has responded...it is indeed a description of my little angel...God responded to me to have a graceful & beautiful daughter....

Hi there, my son and my daughter's name came from the names of angels, we made a research about angels and we use their names for our kids, the one is Shekinah and the other one is Jeremiel. Both of their names meaning is quite long but what i remember about my daughter's is that it means unconditional love.

Hi rjvb26, Shekinah is Hebrew, and it means "to be with", or "to dwell". In the Bible (or Torah), God's shekinah glory was constantly with the Hebrew people. :)

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I called my daughter Amber. On a trip to Lithuania I saw lots of pieces of Amber. It is sold in crystal shops. My baby girl should really have been named Rosy because her cheeks are always that color. I called my disabled toddler son Leo. It means Leo the brave lion. He went through so much when he was between one and three weeks old. I didn't know what to name my teenage son and the only name we could agree on was Ryan. So that is his name. My aunt is called Iris and she doesn't like her name. I think Iris Joehan is a lovely name for a baby boy and Iris Joehanna is an excellent name for a baby girl.

I'm pregnant with our first baby and we're expecting our little guy in June. We finally (long process for us haha) decided on Jack Maddox for our son's name. Jack means 'Believer in a gracious God' and Maddox means 'Giving'.

My daughter's name is Eris. It is the name of the Greek goddess of destruction and choas. And boy it fits her! I did not know this before I named her. We were originally going to name her Eries, like a female version of the zodiac sign, but her father thought it would be pretty to take off the second e. Then I chose her middle name because it was just unique enough. N'Keigh. My mother had a friend once whose parents named all their girls with apostrophes. N'Keigh, N'kole, and so on. But they were pretty names. My son's name, Blythe, was actually the name of his father's favorite character on Band of Brothers. He just absolutely had to name him Blythe. But it suits him. It means happy.

My name is Saire, and it is Olde English-German and means "Victory to the people". If I was to have a child, if it was a boy I'd probably go for John or Chris...and if it was a girl then I think either Lilly or Louise I think are nice names.

My hubby and I made a deal he would name girls and I would name boys. Well our 4Th girl is due this summer so just guess who had the better end of that deal! We have veto rights of coarse and discuss it but he likes to name our after cities. The first was because he liked the name but the rest was to keep with a theme. One means wise woman (the first and why he liked it), the second means tree less plain, the third means little woman (very appropriate by the way) and the fourth means roe deer's meadow (no clue). If you are looking for ideas try out this site, http://www.thinkbabynames.com/list/0/A they seem to have some good ones and not only common ones at that if you are interested in being a little different. Good luck with Baby!

First of all, congratulations! It's the start of an exciting journey for you. Going back to your question, my 9-month old daughter is named Anna Zafina. Anna means "grace" in Latin and Zafina means "the victorious one" in Arabic. We plan to have a boy next, and he will be named Johann Siegfried. Johann is German for "God is gracious" while Siegfried means "victorious peace" also in German. My husband chose these names because he is a gaming addict. He got Zafina from Tekken and Siegfried in Soul Calibur. Hahaha! I just added another name that could go with each.

My husband and I dont have a baby yet but he already think of some baby names so by the time we will have a baby then the names are ready. It doesnt have a meaning but my husband has a huge crush on Jessica Alba so our child's name is going to be Jessica. If you ask me the meaning of my name, it actually means little rose. Honestly, I dont like my name but there's nothing I could do about it.

I do not have a baby. I think the name is not important, it is just a calling. I think a easy remembered name is better in his future.
