I know we need at least 2 liters of fluid in one day, but it bothers me to go to the bathroom at night, and so I try not to drink plenty of fluids in the evening, before bed. You have same problem? Maybe because i am a person who sleep very difficult once i woke up, sometimes losing an hour of sleep after I wake up to go to the bathroom. How do proceed you not to get up at night and go to the bathroom?

That's true. I usually stop drinking water at least 1 hour before bedtime. Whatever amount of water I need for the day, I would have already consumed in the earlier parts of the day. It is also advised not to drink too much before bedtime, in order not to disrupt our sleep.

Not only that. Drinking too much water at night before going to bed also dilutes the digestive acids in your stomach that are necessary for digesting your supper. It can result to indigestion. Instead of drinking too much liquid at night, try compensate for it during the day.

oh, actually for me, i go to the bathroom just before i sleep.. and then when i pee'd already, i will just drink 1 glass of water just before heading to sleep. i believe it helps clean up the stomach at night. haha.. so its almost always that i don't wake up in the middle of the night with the need to go to the washroom. so i guess this practice works well for me. i just go straight to the bathroom early in the am.

That's also my problem. I also avoid drinking lots fluid if I am about to go to bed. I only drinks lots of water during the day time. That's what I usually do and I always keep in mind that I need to finish or at least drink more than 8 glasses of water.

i do drink lots of water especially at night and it doesnt bother me taking few trips to the bathroom. If you have seen movies people woke up from a nightmare, their companions immediately give them water to drink. I think its to make the person calm. But what i think is bad at night is you eat a lot and then you sleep at once coz It can cause nightmares, heart attacks and sleep apnea(a sleep disorder characterized by pauses in breathing during sleep).

That was my problem when I was a small kid, but not when I reached mid-grade. I learned to wake up when the urge to urinate came up. It also came into my mind the distaste to simply wet yourself for being too lazy to get up and pee. So drinking a lot of water at night had no problem with me. Anyways, what you drink normally get out of your body in around 30 minutes. So if you sleep 30 minutes after your great dose of water, then you're sleep will be safe.
