Hey mylotters! I need a good quick answer with this one.
A really good friend of mine's birthday is coming up and it
has been a long time since I snail mailed anything. And I thought
it would be really sweet to send them something nice through mail
for once rather than sending an e-card they probably seen before.
So, are you allowed to handwrite on a stamped envelope for the
address, and the recipient's name? Or the recipient's name only?
I'm more so leaning towards of using calligraphy... Is that okay?

Yes you can do both, as everyone is saying here. You can also if you have the program on your computer print on the envelopes, just make sure the writing can be read. I have a friend that does this often for kids she mails things to.

Yes you can definitely use handwriting on stamped envelopes. As far as I know there are no restrictions on writing on a stamped post card. but to be sure I think you should check with your post office for information related to your country. And also good luck with your card and your friendship.

Yes, you're allowed to hand-write addresses and return addresses on your envelopes. Just make sure that it's easily read. I think it's sweet that you've decided to send a real card through the mail instead of an e-card, and the calligraphy sounds like a neat idea.
