How did you get traffic to your blog?

Hi mylotters! I just created a blog to see if I could get some refferals but I have no idea how to get some visitors, please help! Is there anything I can do for free that will get me some traffic? Thanks for any responses in advance and happy mylotting!

Social Networking is also a very powerful tool as well. Make use of Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Digg, etc etc. Also, knowing many people that use these services can also be a huge benefit as you start branching out to them and then they start branching that information to others and you have one huge webbed network where you're getting hits all over the place.
Of course, this all takes time and effort, not the most easiest road to take but a fruitful one if done right.

One more vital tip from me: Register in make money forums like earnmoneyspace.com, mmsociety.com, where you can list your blog for free and there are interested people in these forums

I have blog in Blogger and my blog has 80% comes visitors from Facebook and Stumbleupon. You can use social networking to increase your blog traffic

I have been blogging for a while now, let me share my experience with you on how I drive traffic to my blogs. Here are some tips:
-Submit your blogs to blog directories such as Blogcatalog, Mybloglog and many others.
-Post comments on other blogs
-Exchange links with other bloggers
-Learn SEO techniques and apply it to your blogs

Traffic is the most important to blogs, so it is more difficult. But however there are two effective methods increasing it. Easy but need insisting.
The first, you must write better articles,continue writing. You need write your keywords rightly, because your visitors can find your articles though keywords in your articles.
The second, you must have many external links. You may exchange friend links. Also you may buy some friend links. Off course the better is that you write good comments in others' articles, and there are your blog's link adress in your comments.

Get yourself registered to almost any free directory you find and remember to use search engine friendly words in your posts to allow people to see your blog on search lists. For example donot write things that no one will search for. See from the point of view of a person searching on the net and find suitable words that may be used.
