It was announced today that Conan O'Brien will NOT be going to FOX. Instead he has signed a contract with TBS to do a late night show. All the details have not been disclosed as yet. When Conan took over David Letterman's time slot, I found him a little refreshing. He came on late enough that I didn't stay awake often & didn't get to watch him much, but did enjoy what I saw of him. Then when he took over the Tonight Show, I found him VERY boring!!! I don't know what the difference was as he did a lot of the same things at 11:30 that he had previously done at 12:30. After he acted so silly over the Tonight Show cancellation, I really don't care whether he comes back or not!!! What's your feelings about Conan's return to late night???

He isn't really anything special to me and the whole time slot thing was just weird to begin with. I do like some of his stuff but he's not something that I would go out of my way to watch unless he just happens to be on, ya know?

Yep, I know. I more than likely would have NEVER watched him had he not followed the Tonight Show. Even then, I only saw him about once a month. I may very well watch the first few of his new show just so I can have an opinion, but I don't anticipate feeling the urge to change over to TBS just to watch him. I've enjoyed Jay Leno since back when he first filled in for Johnny Carson.

When Conan first had a show he was very funny. Andy Richter was the perfect foil, kind of like Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon. But he's no longer funny to me and yes, he is boring. If he was really talented it would not have mattered what time slot they put him in but I think he was a flash in the pan.
