What is on your wish list for this month?

I am hoping to have some work done on my home to make it more comfortable and not so messy. My wish for this month is to get very organised. I really hope I am able to do this. It has been kind a heartbreak for me as I don't invite people over much because of the renovations I am attempting alone too to save money. I am just praying and wishing this year I can really make it happen. Do you have a wish like that?

I do have a wish like that. Several to be exact. One is to finally get my flower gardens the way I want them, even though they are forever changing. I would really like to start a nursery for commercial use. I am working towards selling produce, to start, this year. I would like to get my Mom moved to somewhere that she will be happy. I would like to finish getting my weight down to where I would like it. I have been working on this since last Christmas. I have been failing this month however as we are out of town. I am not too fussy. I am sure that with all, one is sure to transpire into real life. Hoping that your renos get done just the way you want them. It makes entertaining at home much more pleasurable, I know. I would like to get our driveway paved so that there isn't so much dirt being tracked in. I would like to lay lamenate flooring in some rooms and get new lino for the kitchen as well as get a tub insert for the main washroom. Oh yes and restore our lean to green house as well as paint the exterior of the house. Wew!

I forget that there are people just like me out there, hoping for sometimes the same things, you know I feel that you really hit it on the nail when you mentioned the renos and entertaining. I mean I feel life is really boring when I can not even have people over because of the way the area is. I also need to do some outdoor stuff too. There is dirt everywhere so guess what fun I have cleaning the mess that comes into the house each and every day. You know it would be nice if all the hard work can last a bit and it is annoying in winter because that dirt turns into mud. We need to concrete a few areas and I really hope that happens too. You know I have a few nice shoes that I would like to wear out and I can not even wear them out because I am afraid I will ruin them in my own yard with all the dirt and gravel and rocks out there. Plus I feel bad if I do invite someone over I mean I don't want them to hurt themselves walking up the hilly area.

Good Morning blue; I can totally empathize with you and thank you for the BR too btw. It just feels much nicer when we can change the eye soars into something to be proud of or at least be more comfortable with when we have guests arrive. The dirt in your yard sounds much more worse than mine. Although it can get muddy and I know exactly what you mean about wearing your nicer pairs of shoes. There were times, i just took a second set with me and wore my boots out to the car. I would love to see the driveway paved like you don't know how much!! Maybe you do :) Hey, have you though of using concrete deck slabs? They can second as stepping stones. I seen some on sale in last weeks flyer are home hardware I think it was. Was a thought. They were less than $2 per slap and would of been a useful option although I didn't buy because I am still thinking out a plan. We all have much work to do after the winter thaws. I love the Spring time as it gives me a chance, while the weather is still cool to get out there and start getting my wishes closer to reality. I find the fall months is a great time to do inside renos and clean ups. I wish you well with your endeavors. One day at a time I take it when the jobs are so very large. Chip away at it day by say and you will notice some improvements. It is hard during the winter months to contend with dirt and gravel in the yard. Planting grass might be an option for you? I like the concrete slabs myself. Take care.

Wow but that sounds awfully cheap for concrete slabs. Really 2 dollars? I mean I thought most of them went for like twenty or thirty dollars. I think it depends on the size but still that seems a bit weird. We are talking about concrete slabs? I have two that went underneath my ducted heating unit as we didn't have time to concrete the area. It is getting so cold now here and I really would love to have the front concreted , It would be a nice treat if it happens soon. I am keeping my fingers crossed and praying for some good weather too. I will do as you suggest and take it one day at a time. That is all that I can do, there is no point in doing my head in about it all. I am also over that kind of stuff. I think you just learn to relax over time. Good luck with your outdoor work, hope you get some nice weather where ever you are too. I have to say in doors at the moment as my nose is so runny and this cold weather is not helping me recover.

Great I will and you too enjoy your time here. It is definitely fun to say the least. Even though I don't spend much time here but when I do I always have fun with the people here. I love to be apart of such a nice community.

Good luck, sometimes that is what it feels like. Like I have been unlucky for some time now. I also wish for some luck to come my way and get me out of the rut I am in. I say a pray for the both of us.

I went through the same thing a while back and you know if I had some money right about now it would still be an addiction too. However I had to be more reasonable since I had other expenses that were more of a necessity that I had to deal with. Still it is nice to dream and since you just brought this up, I am like thinking oh my god I am going to start thinking about it all over again. Today I did walk past a bag store but I did not go in but I caught myself or my eyes I should say staring far in to the store especially the back section where all the good bags are. I love bags and purses and I wish I had a big enough cupboard to fit an army of them. Ha ha

That does seems to be on a lot of people's mind. I know it would make life a bit more easier right now so that I could finish tasks a bit more faster, I have been living like this for years. It takes years to do things alone. If I had the money I would pay someone else to finish it off.
