Who is the greatest basketball player of all time?

I believe that the greatest basketball player of all time is Michael "MJ" Jordan. He carried the Chicago Bulls to six NBA championships and his stats will show that he is an all-around basketball player. Before the NBA, MJ, as a freshman, helped the University of North Carolina (UNC) win the national championship (1981-82 season) and was named College Basketball Player of the Year. He was the NBA Rookie of the year in 1985. Moreover, MJ was a member of the 1992 US Olympic men's basketball team, the "Dream Team" who won the Gold medal in the 1992 Summer Olympics. His 13 seasons in the NBA with the Chicago Bulls were full of highlights and incredible feats.

Its unanimous to all basketball fan to say that MJ is the best.What separate Jordan to the rest of basketball player are his leadership skill and the desire to win.I remember in their series against the Utah Jazz,he have a flu yet he still played.6 MVP's,scoring titles,defensive player of the year,all-NBA first team,all-NBA defensive first team,Rookie of the Year,Slam Dunk Champion and All-Star MVP.That show how good he is....

I definitely agree with you. Michael jordan is the best nba player for me too. I remember when during the playoffs, they faced utah a number of times and it was always the bulls who prevailed. Of course with the help of pippen, kerr, longley, rodman, and the others.

Yes! Michael Jordan is the best and the Chicago Bulls of the 1995-96 NBA season hold the record of 72 wins and only 10 lost, the best team ever.

Michael Jordan led the Chicago Bulls to 6 NBA Championships and the team holds the the NBA record 72 Wins with only 10 lost in the 1995-96 NBA season, a record, which I believe is very hard to break and will remain for a long time.

I agree.. Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all times... noone can really beat him.. it seems like anyone in this generation of basketball players adores him...

There have been so many good players after Michael Jordan but no one of them has ever come close to him as far as basketball is concern. Even the present star players have a high respect for MJ and what he did in the NBA. FYI, MJ average 31.5 points during his NBA career scoring a total of 29,277 points from 1984-1998. He has 5 NBA MVP, 6 NBA Championships, 6 NBA Finals MVP, 10 Scoring Titles,10 All-NBA First Team. MJ is indeed the greatest player of all time.
