i recently went for an outing with the kids. and of all the places, we went to the botanical gardens. they had actually expected the new roller coaster in town which had just been opened. from their gestures i could tell there were lots of displeasure. but since nobody said anything i decided to go ahead although i wasn't very keen myself. the last time i was there seemed ages ago. so, to make the story short, after we sat for sometime the moment we arrived, we finally decided to move around. we walked on the suspension bridge, got lost in the little maze, went up the tree house and slided down, tried to keep our balance on the floating platform on the little pond, admired and learned lots of new things about flowers, plants and fruits. we were specially intrigued by the 'calabash'. said to belong to the gourd family, native of africa. eaten when young and hardened when matured, the calabash fruits are normally made into traditional musical instruments or as household wares and smoking-pipes. we walked a lot, we talked a lot, we played a lot and we had so much fun. if you are lost for places to go, i would say, why not try the botanical gardens. my dear myLotters, would you like to share your stories? any story would be great and very much appreciated.
