HI , we use http://www.priceline.com We go to the name your price section, put in $1.00 and pay the other fees. We booked a flight from the US to Greece and back ran under $300.00 per person. You are on standby but the flights are usually not booked. Might be an option for you.

I did not think priceline had that function anymore.

yeah , they do, our friend booked a trip from Florida to New York and back for under $50.00 in the name you price slot. Remember their stand by flights. But he got on board quickly.
