how much did you spend on Canon 550D

Hello,I love travel,so I want to buy a good camera for taking photoes.I looked for some days and I was satisfied with Canon 550D.while my photography is bad.Is it necessary fo buy a single-lens Reflex camera for me.And how much did you spend on Canon 550D.what lens did you buy to match Canon 550D?

I recently bought a Canon 1000D and I bought an extra 2000 lens, I love the SLR digital, I hate the slight delay the little gigital cameras have....I paid about $2000 Australian dollars for my camera package which also included a mono ploe as I take pice of a band and need the camera to be very steady.
