Finally Got To Watch Blades Of Glory Film. It Rocks!

I was pleased to discover that this film was on one of the BBC channels last week, therefore no adverts. So it was like watching a DVD of it (something I want now after watching the film) and it cheered me up no end.
Does anyone else think this film is funny? I suppose it's daft but not for the sake of being daft; there was a storyline which helps! The great thing about this film was it was a throwback to the likes of "Dumb and Dumber" and "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" or anything with John Candy in it lol.
It grossed millions too I believe which is great! To be honest I don't normally like Will Ferrell that much but I thought he was awesome in "Blades of Glory." How he kept his face straight I don't know and that goes for er...the other guy too. Haha!

You're into all this skating malarkey too aren't you Dawn? Were you skater spotting because I believe some "real" skaters were in it, which makes it even funnier really.

Will Ferrell licked a girl's face if you remember and I believe she's an Olympic Skater..but I don't know who it was either!

I loved 'Blades of Glory', it was silly but it was so funny. My husband worked with a guy who had hair similar to Jimmy MacInroy (sp?) so all the guys called him Jimmy. As a joke someone bought him the 'Blades of Glory' DVD and he was so mad about it he just chucked the brand new DVD in the garbage. My husband saw it and couldn't resist plucking it out of the can and taking it home (it wasn't all gooey or gunked up or anything) so now we have our own copy.

It was on Saturday night too (not usually a good night for anything decent on the gogglebox) so to laugh out loud for an hour and a half or so was an added bonus!
My favourite scene was the legs splitting and the partner gazing down onto the - well, you know what I mean, then in reverse. Hilarious!
