AAARRGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Nothing like getting pulled over by the local cops first thing of a morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Makes me so mad I could SPIT!!! When you live in a small do nothing town the local police have nothing better to do than harrass some of us, ( like myself ) and IGNORE the bigger problems here in town; Why did I get pulled over? Once again my passenger brake light IS NOT WORKING!!!!!! but that's not the kicker of my story, the kicker is I got a "warning" because my Disability parking plaque is/was hanging from my rear view mirror where its hung since day one back in 1999...STUPID S.O.B.'S!!! I got a $10.00 because I was NOT WEARING my seatbelt... YEAH GUILTY AS CHARGED!! I don't wear my seatbelt since my car accident back in Aug of 1996 I was wearing it that day of the accident and thats how I came to have such terrible neck injuries and back injuries and that's how I wound up on Disability... so sure pull over the poor Fat disabled Woman give her a ticket!!! but let all the other local yokel's drive on by.... so how's your day going so far???? its got to be better than mine!!!

tsk what a terrible day starter you had... Mine is very tiring and sleepy day. I had to wake very early to present our works for the development of our botanical garden to our university director. Afterwards, I had to finish my other project of rotary club signage on an intersection near our school. then I had to settle my thesis for clearance signing on the library and return my thesis copy to our department after. what makes it more tiring is the far distance of each venues from each other that i needed to stroll. I even forgot my usb and my classmate's usb back in our school. waaaa

$10 for a seatbelt offense? Ours are $45 or more!!! Don't have your license on you? $173!!! We can be ticketed even if we have rosary beads hanging from the rearview (obstruction of view - what a joke). There have been times when I didn't wear a seatbelt in someone's car because it didn't fit. The manufacturers expected only slim, trim people to ride in the vehicle, obviously. But, since I got one seatbelt ticket a few years back, I do wear one now. Hate them because they ride across my throat, but I do wear them, since they've made them a primary offense to be pulled over.

OUCH JERZ!!! that's the price of where you live I guess, but GOOD GRIEF!!! if dear Old DAd had not given me $20.00 for more medicine the other day I would not have had that measly stinkin $10.00 for today's ticket and I for sure don't feel like fighting them over it in Court, we already know what kind of luck I have in court cases...SHIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ttttttttTTTTTTYYYYYYYY luck! Remember after all I have permanent injuries from MVA in 1996 and I got diddly squat for that...so no sense in me fighting the $10.00 case...(sigh)! Seriously if you had rosary beads hangning on your mirror they'd fine you for that too? Well shame on their souls for that!! LOL! I know what you mean about the seat belt's...LOL! Mine fits , I just hate them since the MVA and being hung around my neck with one....Kinda makes you NOT to like them but the cops don't care about that. If I was any bigger it would not fit in my Saturn....life just SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope Mr. Nice Policeman gets STINKIN PINK EYE HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHHAHAAHA!!!!!!!

I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself. They even gave a ticket for one of those scented trees - but every one who got a ticket was a member of a minority who got pulled over in a town that was almost 100% non-minority. I overheard one lawyer telling his client that he picked the wrong town to get pulled over in. So, a lot of it depends on the mood of the cop, how redneck they are and really how bad the stuff hanging is. Most don't give tickets for rosaries, but technically, they can. That's what bites the most.

It really ruins a day, doesn't it. At least your seatbelt ticket is only $10, ours here are $80. They will give you them instead of a speeding ticket.

I guess it was ok...it was a bit relaxed today. I guess that's why I am on Mylot. I just finished with a long-term project and I am feeling as if a load is off my back. But yesterday was too busy. No cops in my life these days, thank God. Cheers and happy Mylotting

I shouldn't laugh...I've been pulled over by the local police. It ain't fun! It would happen a lot when I lived in Montana. They had some really cute motorcycle police officers there, and I would smile at them as I drove by. It made them curious and I would end up getting pulled over. Fortunately I didn't get any tickets, but it was annoying having my time used up. I was driving in our local tiny town and I had a police car following me all over the place. I got really tired of it and stopped the vehicle in the middle of the street, got out of the car and walked back to the police car. I tapped on his window and when he rolled it down I asked him if he didn't have something better to do than follow me all over town. The next corner he turned right.

Now that was a funny story but that's what they do here too, they follow you and follow you, this jerk followed me through two stop-signs before he turned on his lights and siren's....AAARRGGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! Guess he was making SURE my brake light was out...yeah right...AAASSSSSSSSHHHHOOOLllleeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You'd think I'd be over it since its been several hours now but I'M NOT!! Wish you lived closer I'd tell Mr. Nice Policeman that my friend is gonna "mess you up" buddy...LOL!!!!!!

It sounds like they are picking on you, shame on them. I know someone else who doesn't wear a seatbelt because it hurt them in an accident. I am living today because of wearing a seatbelt. I was in an accident too, if I hadn't had my seatbelt on I would have been smashed. I wear mine all the time. I don't think its right to fine people for not wearing them. I think its a good idea to have it a law that kids have to wear them. Some states you don't have to wear a helmet while riding a motorcycle, but you better wear a seat belt or you will get a fine. I never understood that, I suppose they figure if you crash you can die quicker.

What a terrible start of the day? I am sure it must have affected your moods. But what to do friend? Sometimes it happens. Try to have some hot coffee or cold ice cream and try to chill out. Otherwise, for whole of the day, this nasty memory of being caught by the traffic police will haunt our moods and never allow us to enjoy anything for whole of the day. Well my day was normal. Usual cooking, computer accessing etc.

Hi dream, sorry you are having such a bad day. Not a good way to start out anyway. I have a brake light that keeps going out too. It isn't the wiring. It is the connections in the bulb itself. I've only been pulled over once for it. there is this stuff called dummy goop that you can put on the prongs and it will stay working a lot longer. Hope today starts off better for you!

1. I would advise you to always buckle up for safety. 2. That being said, I recently read an article where, lately with the bad budget problems, police are going after any and all possible sources of income. All those little issues that they used to let slide are now being enforced.

oh.. sorry to hear on this ya.. it's already a Friday here, while I response to your discussion.. however just to say that I myself got an experience of being pulled over by cop! Here in the country I lived, policemen will sometimes gets very unreasonable, and while you drive, they will signal you for a STOP! I was one of the 'victim' that day, and after some 'questioning', I was let go.. Frankly, we should all not be taken for granted just because we are just a simple citizens!

I am sorry for your incidents, but I'd like to say it is not a big deal for a ticket, at least tomorrow is another day. I heard one news here that a college student was trapped in an underground watercourse when he rode a bicycle. He was badly hurt and still in a comma now. No wonder why people advised that we may get choked when we are having water only or we may stumble when we are walking as soon as the bad luck is coming.
