Gmail disabled my account...

I'm kind of confused and annoyed at the moment. I decided to go and check my gmail account only to find out that my account has been disabled. I'm pretty sure I haven't done anything wrong either, unless you consider not checking your mail for a period of time as some kind of violation. I tried contacting them and the only I got was to create a new account. Won't I lose all of my old mail if I did that? Should I even make a new account? Has anyone had their account disabled too? If so, were you able to retrieve it?

Hi, saizo6. No, my gmail account has never been disabled before. How long have you not logged into your account? I better start logging in myself. I have not logged in for about a week now.. I come there every now and then. If you feel that you need another account, then make one. Contact gmail about them disabling your account as tell them your problem. I hope that they can give you a real reason as to why they disabled your account.

Hi cream97, It was about a week for me. I remember logging in earlier in the month to check for mylot responses. I think I'll try that. Being pointed to their terms of service/FAQ page doesn't really help when I have no clue about what went wrong in the first place.

Wow. Then I really need to check my account too. A week is not a long time for your account to be disabled. That is very odd. I hope that you can get some real answers from gmail about your account. This does not sound right at all.

Thanks. I'm sure I didn't do anything so maybe it could be because of some mail being sent to me.

Check their FAQ/TOS and see if you broke any of their rules, aside that I dunno what to do about it ._. It's really weird that happen from nowhere.

I've already done that but it didn't help. It would have helped if they gave me an actual reason so I'm not left wondering what the heck went wrong.

This is new.Try logging in at a different time.Maybe there was an issue with the server and that was why you were not able to login.You can try contacting the admin also and see why they have locked you out and if possible recover your account.

Hi Saizo. I am sorry for your account. I realy don't have what to say... you must try to contact with them, there must be a way to contact with them. If I loose my Gmail account, I will be realy,really mad...

I guess I could try contacting them again. First time I did all they said was to make a new account. Luckily for me Gmail isn't really my main account or else I'll be in a bad way.

hello saizo6, we're both same experience with gmail. my account is very active at that moment until i found out one day it was gone. were not able to retrieve it anymore but to create another one account.

Ouch, that's not something I want to hear. But at least I know that I wasn't the only one it happened to. Do you have any idea about what might have gone wrong with your account? Guess I'm going to have to make a new one. I realized that a lot of the sites I frequent are under that address.
