This is the absolute best book series I have ever read. I have read the entire series 6 times now, and it always gets better. In fact, I love this series so much that my first tattoo was The Eye of the Crimson King =D What do you think about The Dark Tower books?

Hi mezulu. I am a big King fan. I have the first three books in the series and have had them for a number of years but never got round to reading them. At the time my idea was to wait until all the volumes were out and then read them. I guess I must get round to getting the rest of the books and having a good read That tattoo does sound very cool.

Yeah, I would very much recommend reading those books. There are a total of 7, so it's a commitment, but it's really worth it. You will see his works in a whole new light, given the fact that The Dark Tower seems to be a key element in almost all of his other books.

Yes I have read online that he does reference a lot of The Dark Tower in his other works. Not having read any of the series I guess I would have missed the references I must dig out the ones I have and make a start on them. I think the real reason I put off reading them at the time was the thought of reading an unfinished work.

I'm an avid Stephen King fan but I still haven't made up my mind with the Dark Tower series. I bought each book as it was released and read each one within a few days. But, when I got the last one, I couldn't get into it and have, as yet, not read it. While I agree that the series is good, the last few books felt as if he was trying to string it out. One day I shall sit down and read them all, including the last one, and then I may change my mind

To me it was the opposite. The sixth book in the series, Song of Susannah, was my favorite out of the series. And the last book, The Dark Tower, felt too short to me. Perhaps it was because I didn't want to let go of the books. Either way, in the end I was astounded by the colossally unexpected and amazing ending to the series; it was so good that I literally picked up The Gunslinger and read the entire series again.
