Own Pizza vs Pizzeria

Finland

Do you prefer your own pizzas or the ones of a pizzeria (restaurant which makes pizzas)? I personally prefer the pizzas of a pizzeria, but what are your thoughts? What would you eat? And most importantly, what do you put on your pizzas?

I have never made one of my own and the reason is simple. I am English but I live in Italy and I'm sure I could never make one that would turn out as well as the locals can make them, both in the restaurants, the take-aways and in their homes. I have never tried making one ever.

The only 'bad' pizza? Why was it 'bad'? Maybe because it was not what you were familiar with? A real pizza is not at all like the ones that are made in many countries. A real pizza has a thin base and crust and is that the reason you describe it as 'bad'?

Well, that's sad... I'm glad that you live in Italy though, because it's such a wonderful country to live in The only bad pizza I have ever eaten was in Italy though...

If you ate bad pizza in Italy what you have is really bad bad luck. There's no way italians can't make good pizza... Maybe it was very different from what you were used to, and that's why you didn't like it... You should try argentinian pizza, at least half the people here have italian family, so we make really good pizza too!

Well, I make great pizzas, but still like the pizzeria ones better. I guess the difference is the oven temperature. If I made bread at home it wouldn't be the same as the bakery, right? I put cheese, of course, and sometimes onions, sometimes sweet red pepper on it. What do you put in your pizzas ramsesxIII?

That's nice When we are in France or Italy, then we always go to a pizzeria, but here in Finland I prefer to make own ones with cheese, tomato sauce, pineapple, olives and almost everything else that we have

Pizza in France? Never tried that, lol. Pizza in Italy is simply THE BEST pizza worldwide. And here in Argentina, as 15 million people have italian grandparents, we make very good pizza as well. What's the typical dish in Finland, may I ask?

In France, they make excellent pizza because that's so close to Italy. I could almost even say that they make better pizza in France than in Italy, because the only time that I have eaten pizza in Italy, it was just awful. It maybe wasn't the right time to eat or something but it was awful. In Italy, they make the best ice cream that I have ever tasted though... Here, in Finland we have quite simple dishes and the mostly used ingredient are the potatoes. We have some quite extraordinary dishes too though, like mämmi (It looks a little bit like poop, but goes down with sugar and vanilla sauce), karjalan piirakat/the pies of Karjala (they are not actually pies but something close to bread) and pee soup. I don't know if pee soup is ordinary in some other countries, but I can tell you that the two others are not. We have quite many traditional dished though, but I don't have the time or the strength to list them all here...
