What are the dates that remain in your memory?

memory - Memory holds our past, our present and our future. It is the ability to store, retain and recall information.

Our brain holds our memory which gives us the ability to store, retain and recall information. Our memory too is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, and the things you never want to lose. We tend also not to remember the things that was not worth at all or never meant anything to us. I always remember the birthdates of my loved ones, even the dates where good things happened in my life like when was my first job, my first time to travel abroad, anniversary. I even remember the public holidays. But I tend to forget the dates when my relatives passed away, I need to be reminded about their anniversary all times. We do know and feel that it is better for us to forget the dates that's not worth to remember like breaking up with a relationship that broke up your heart. Memory holds our past, our present and our future to come. Can you share what are the dates that remain in your memory?

Hi Sheanne! Well, you question is interesting. Yes we do hold many things which need to be remembered affiliated with dear ones and sometimes bitter recollections also. I am not particular with this trait but even then some of the important dates remain sticky like my children birthdays. But frankly I would submit that I have a ver little capacity in this regard. ;) God bless. Aliasad

Hi sheanne, Aside from the important birthdays of my family and loved ones, anniversaries and special occasions, not all pleasant memories are stored in my brain. I could still remember the exact dates I had my heart broken, and my fights with my bf. I have a good memory, and sometimes, I do wish I haven't. It reminds me of the pain I felt during those times. But thankfully, after a long time, my heart has been healed.

May 25th, 2008, 3:00p.m. The moment that I couldn't muster up the courage to say "goodbye." Even though the love of my life was leaving and she had said it, I couldn't bring myself to say it. I guess, if I did, it would've been like accepting defeat, even though I knew she was going to go. I would have to say that that's the only regret that I have: not saying goodbye, or that I loved her. Because little did I know, that would be the last thing I ever say to her.

Hi, sheanne. The dates that I remember are, my birthday and many other family and friends birthday's too. I remember my husband's birthday. I also remember the date of my graduation, wedding, anniversary and any appointment dates for me or my kids. I remember the date of the 911 attack on The World Trade Center. This was a very horrible time.

Hello jiraiyasanin, thank you for sharing your idea. That's really fascinating that even dates you hang out with your friends you can still remember. I can still remember too the date I won a prize from a raffle contest of a mall.

The most prominent date in my head is when my daughter was born, What a day indeed! I think most moms have these days and images burned in their mind. However, generally I need to store birthdays, anniversaries and even public holidays as reminders on my computer.
