If you have a big house and you need money you will be agree to rent one room to someone? You get someone stranger to live in your home, just to earn some money, that will help of course. It is very dangerous to get someone stranger to live in your home, but also can be a source of income if you are in a difficult situation, and you need to pay your debt to the bank, or even if you need money in life everyday. You agree to rent a room in your house to someone who is willing to pay for it?

if i owned a big house and i only live alone and theres still few room available then i will use it to gain extra income. i will look for someone to rent the other room of course though i need to make sure first if the person can be trusted or not so there will be limitation also. even if i rent an apartment and theres available room then i will also let someone rent it and share other expenses like electric and water bills, i guess most of people out there do this kind of things to lessen their bills so its not a big deal.

At this point of our lives, I won't. I have heard of many incidents of strangers renting a room in someone's house and later on when the family who owns the house is at ease with the tenant, the tenant then rape the daughters or rob the family or worst even kill the owners of the family. I don't want this to happen to my family. It is hard to trust somebody who you do not know. Maybe I can have it rented with relatives or old time friends but not to strangers that I barely knew.

this is a non-issue for my husband and I, since we live in an apartment, and do not have extra room to rent, but if we lived in a house, and had a part of the house that we were not using, we would definitely rent it out for a little bit of extra money, privided I wasn't already using the space as an office.

I live in a college community and I've never rented out a room but most of my neighbors have. None of them have had bad experiences and they all tell me that they have made some lasting friendships that way. I suppose if I really needed money that I would do it but it would be a last resort for me. I ust wouldn't feel comfortable with someone else living in my home.

Greetings marianna45, honestly i wouldn't rent it out to some random stranger, only to someone i know, for example a friend, an aquaintence or family.
