Literates and illiterates

Litterates are supposed to be people who have education. They are supposed to know the difference of good and bad. Yet most of the educated people around behave so much like illiterates. They use fire crackers, do bonfires which ad to their fun, but the reality is they r increasing polution, wasting fuel and wood. On one end they say conserve water or conserve paper and they r the first ones to waste as much paper possible if its provided by office or for free. A million pamphlets are seen flying around the streets with no one to see the information on it. There are so many festivals across the world where such natural resources, imporant recources and food gets wasted. For the sake of making a movie so much of wastage is done. The question is why? If we litterates are so illiterate then how can we teach the illiterates to be educated?

1st of all, I want you to realize something: you cannot generalize that all literates, like myself are like that. 2nd, money rules the world. People make money at whatever cost. Ever wonder why the US started a war on Iraq? Money. 3rd, You are looking at only one side of the picture. Look at these health care services the other literates made: look at Canada, great health care. Literates made the law. 4th, You do not have to be literate to be educated. So please stop flaming us literates.

Dearest Joe.... U got me totally wrong. I have no intensions to flame u literates. I am not a terrorist. I agree that literates have done a lot of good things for the society. Definitely yes. I appreciate this but what we are trying to discuss is about people who r educated, yet forget what they learnt to create enough nuisance around to disturb the rest of literates like u. The examples are very well mentioned in the topic as well as discussed by our fellow friends here in mylot. Anyways even then if u feel i am flaming u then...i am extremely sorry...... as thats not what i have intended.

It is also one of the problem of some literates. They don't use their knowledge. They must be ashamed of themselves because they act as illiterate. Sometimes illiterates are more respectable than the literate individual.

Hi hollowheart, You are in a sense correct in what you believe, but not completely. Its true that we literates sometimes leap all bounds of our education and behave like illiterates, not only in terms of environment but also when we get angry or something. But still, we do many things that the illiterates cannot. Some of the highest minds of the literates are continuously searching for a way to reduce pollution, and the impact of our everyday tasks on the environment. Some of us are doing our best to start initiatives that bring about a change. Though I agree that some people, in the vice of greediness behave like illiterates, or maybe due to their anger, corrupt mind or something else. But still literates are more bound to take ideal decisions.

Hey Ajrox and Jonjee...very right. Yes i have only picked up one end of the literates...that too some only. See an illiterate doing a mistake is understood because he is not educated to understand. But what about educated people doing thee dsame as u have told too. Thats the thing. How do we go ahead to stop this and make the world even better?

I agree with you some literates people just do many things which is a big opposite of the way they should act. Or maybe people nowadays is not really that sincere anymore with the words literates. They just don't care or totally forget the meaning of it. When people don't act the way they were supposed to be then they are just not ideal to be followed on. When literates people become illiterates then the lines has been crossed and it's something to be ponder about because we no longer exist with the right way of living. We are facing our own inadequacies and unworthiness.

dear hollowheart, literates can read and write but sometimes illiterates practice more or has better system of moral principles. but i guess, it is not whether they are literates or illiterates. usually it depends on the person, their thinking and upbringing. some are happy go lucky and doesnt think of the future and even if they are literates, they do not care nor follow rules of conduct recognized in respect to a particular class of human actions or a particular group. some people just do not care. how to teach them? maybe they cannot be taught because they never want to learn. have a nice day, ann

Dear Ann. Thats exactly where the problem lies. These people dont want to learn and realise whats right and wrong. But they have to be forced to understand, or else we all r going to be subjected to even worse days on earth. Wish u a happy weekend. Hope people would realise and be better soon.. :)
