Would you migrate to another land?

My sister has received her petition papers and is embarking on her journey to America. When she does so, I will be the only one left in my native Philippines. But migration had never been a desire. I still hoped that my family might come back and we could be together again.

i love being in this homeland of our. even if there are hardship and downs, i still prefer to live and spend the rest of my life here. migrating to foreign lands is not a dream but if the opportunity to work for just a period, i may consider it.

Yes, I am thinking of migrating to Australia or New Zealand. Primarily because I live in Malaysia. If you lived in Malaysia, you would know why I want to move out of this country

Hi eileenleyva, There are many like you and also many who imagrate to other lands often return home again. Don't give up hope that your family will return home someday because it's very likely that some of them will. Blessings.

Hi Eileen, I am happy to hear that your sister is about to make her dreams come true to live in america. but sad to hear that you will be staying over and will surely be missing your sister. in time you will be back to each others arms as a family together...but i know it will be a long wait! We too are in the process of waiting for our papers to be fine and we will be going to the US too. This move is a good one as we have two special kids and US has good programs and services for them. in our country it's really very expensive to have kids attend special education classes.

OMG.. why? who among us would want to be liked a stone in one corner not moving and waiting to have mold in the end? i think that's an insane idea. you will be left alone. in america there is freedom and equality to all. no corruptions, conflict between religions, etc... you really love your hometown but does your hometown loves you? actually i have doubts especially the kind of politics you have... i also couldn't find any comfort living with my mother land and how i wish to have an options like you... i think you are very lucky my friend... thanks..

HELLO eileenleyva! I really can't imagine myself in a home that's not my home. You know what I mean. I've always dreamed of travelling. I love travelling but I really can't imagine staying i a place were the color is different than mine and the language different from ours. I can't leave my family behind. If it can't be help and i need to. I have no choice but to leave home. There are much bigger opportunities outside the country but there is no place like home...

I am sorry all your family has left the Phillippines, I hope someone will come back to you. I can understand your desire to stay in your home country as I don't think I'd ever truly travel out of the country though in the past it was my dream.

I would love to migrate to other places but still will come back to Mother Philippines. I have an aunt in Canada who have a family there already. She has a Kurdish husband and two wonderful kids. It's been a long time since their last visit here at home. We miss them so much. My cousins have grown a lot, especially in height and we would love to see them again personally. We see them only in pictures and communications in the web.
