Do you have somewhere 'safe' that you put things you want to find quickly?

Are you a very organised person who knows exactly where everything is kept? Can you lay your hands on any household document whenever its required? Or are you someone who puts things in such a 'safe' place that even you cant find them?? I know roughly where most of the important documents are but.... can anyone shed any light on where I've put the flash unit, filters and spare lenses for my camera, the little purple hand-held fan, my black trousers....no,not those ones, - the other ones!, or my........

I have no idea where half my stuff is. I can't find my pay pal business card anywhere. And it's time to get my first charity donation from a certain social networking site that begins with an "m."

I eventually gave up looking for my drivers licence and paid £20 for a replacement. I do actually know where my passport and my car insurance documents are... for now.

That's a steep price. Here it's only about $18 to replace one's license. About half of what you paid. I lose my bf's car keys all the time in this apartment. He is so even keel. He doesn't get mad at me or act nervous, but will get on his hands and knees to help me look. Usually they are somewhere under the bed or on the bed. The master bedroom is my "office." The "office" needs some organizing. It's terrible. I can't work in there anymore. The bedroom is not "ideal" but I don't think I have a choice at this point, as I live with a man who is messier than me.

I had to pay £4 to get photos done for it aswell (they were really crap but I wasnt about to pay out anymore!) I bought one of those key rings that you're supposed to whistle at and they bleep but, before I could take it out of the packaging I put it down....somewhere... Funny cos I know exactly where my glow-in-the-dark octopus is - even in daylight.

I AM a very organised person actually and know where everything is at all times. Yep. Stuff is either somewhere in my apartment, or it's somewhere in my laptop bag. It sure makes life easier knowing that there are only two places to look every time! I had a scare a while back when my expensive sunglasses were somewhere in a conference centre, but thankfully I managed to get back to the standard routines quickly when I returned home.

The sunglasses returned from whence they came apparently? I did however celebrate their demise with a new pair! (After punishing myself for 3 months first by not allowing myself to buy any)

This punishing yourself wouldnt have anything to do with the fishing rod and the faeries would it???

Well, yes, I only have one place to look for the camera accessories really... in the house. However, I seem to have placed rather a lot of items there for safekeeping over the last 23years. Where are the sunglasses now???

Did you check your carry-on luggage?

Not since the summer of 2001... they weren't in there then.

We have to get a passport sized photo to send in with the form ...and the cheque. Oh yes, had the octopus for a couple of years. If you throw it at a flat surface it "walks" down - a present from my son... a later addition than the inflatable penguin but earlier than the singing dog.

That happens here too if I leave some paperwork that needs dealing with there! But, strangely enough,"other" stuff can be left in "other" places by "other" people indefinitely
