Obsession

I was watching o television a few days ago how things went wrong between two lovers ,in this case the guy was obsessed with the lady who broke up with him ,the guy tried many times but couldn’t get her to come back to him but failed in his various bid, this made him so depressed that he swore to himself that if he cant have her no one else will have her, so everyday he will go and sit at the door step leading to her flat just to monitor her and ensure that she was never out of his sight not even for a minute. He followed her everywhere begging and pleading ,the lady refused to bulge, many of their friends told him to back off but he wouldn’t let go saying there is no other woman for him in this whole wide world.
Now, the question on my mind is why would any individual be obsessed with another? What causes obsession and what can be done about it?

byola I think some that stalk like that are spoiled people whose relatives have made them think that anything they want they have
a right to just take then if they get in trouble which people like
that are prone to do, a parent will bail them out to save the
family name. they treat women like objects and when they get
turned down they became really into your face and this is scary.
my stalker finally proposed to me and thurst a diamond ring and engagement ring into my hand, when I said I was flattered but had to turn him down as I was not in love with him at all, and did not intend to marry anyone for a few more years. He tried to choke me but two waiters, big men, pulled the young man off me.,I was just twenty, he was 19.The police were called but his dad owned half of the town so shipped my stalker off to an Aunt in New Jersy. Later I learned he went to jail'
for attempted murder of another young woman he stalked, and almost killed her. She was in the hospital for a long time. that man was one scary person for sure. Parents should not give kids everything they want even if the parents are very wealthy.

Phew!that was a very close shave ,am glad you survived the experience to be able to share with us i think the case of obssession is one to be made a criminal act so that many of these guys can be taken off the streets as many more lives may be lost to this psychiatric trend called obssession

I think obsession is kind of sick, and anyone who feels that way needs some help, Obsession is not love, and you can't make someone feel a certain way. I would get a restraining order quick, there are to many psychos in the world today. They need to leave the other person alone and work on their self to try and figure out why they have obsessive tendacies.
