For the money you agree to work on weekends too?

For me, free time is free time, I want my weekend to upload the batteries after a week of work, here if you accept to work on weekends, you get paid double, but even for that money I do not accept to work on weekends, and then not give performance all week, I'm tired, and I can not do the job well. I need time off, even if I need money and I could earn more money, I think that we are are humans, not robots, which can work all time.
If your boss offers to pay you double, you accept to work in weekend?

Hello icesmile,
I spent all of my weekend time studying for my university degree, but even if I did not have to spend my time doing this, I would prefer not to work for the weekends, as i need some time to relax and see my family. But there are certainly times, hard times, when probably someone would not have a chance to make a choice either to work for weekends or not, because they need money to support their family.

I love having my time off to myself, but the current economy is making that increasingly difficult. I take on as many weekend, evening and sumer jobs as I can, to make up for decreases in pay and increases in expenses!

Hi ice!
My job needs me to work week-ends too. I don't mind at all because I get other days off during the week and I can recharge my batteries then. I am at work right now and working tomorrow too - but then I am off on Monday 
Extra pay for working week-ends but no job here if I refuse. Hotels don't close at week-ends and that's fine by me because when I get my day off in the week, at least the shops are open!

Yeah why not... I'm working on weekends while having holiday with my family. You know what is my job? Just writing something that I really know and it is not hard. I just need 5 minutes to 10 minutes and... DONE... after that, I can spend my holiday! :D I love my job!

i need money at the moment to pay for my house down payment which i should pay every month ,i need to save up for my child when they are growing up ,so i am trying my best to earn and i do not mind to work at weekend or at lately of the day ,that will help my financial better .do not need my boss to pay me double just pay me extra i am willing to work .

I am my own boss and I work from home, so I set my own hours. Weekends and weekdays are the same for me, I am very happy to work whenever and whereever the mood strikes.

Hi there icesmile!
As long as I do not have anything to do during the weekend and if I still have much energy to expend, I'd probably consider this as an opportunity. But more often than not, I really prefer to use my weekends traveling or just resting. Sometimes, I would prefer that I spend my weekends doing my hobbies.

even if it is not a double pay, if the work calls for my duty, i will work. i am not a hyprocrite, i need money, i need cash. but it is not all that money that counts when it comes to duty.

Hello dear.
I actually did this at the last job, working on weekends, and on extra hours after work, at the last job, at Ubisoft as a game tester, but it was really tiering and i eventually got rid of this job and this was indeed one of the reasons - they would not force you to do extra hours, but it would be in your interest to do them anyway...

dear ice,
i am on call 24/7 but i have not been asked for quite a while now to work overtime or on weekends and i am happy.
usually our work depends on what type of work it is. if it is clerical, i guess there is no need to work on weekends unless you have back logs. for supervisory positions, i guess like me, times when the company needs extra time, then there is no reason so say "no" unless you are sick. 
loyalty to the company has so much to do with it.

When I was working at the hospital I had no desire to work on the weekend and we really weren't offered a lot of incentive to go to work on the weekend, but we were required to work at least every other weekend. After having that experience of having to work so many weekends when my daughter was very small, I now have absolutely no desire at all to work any weekends anymore unless it is working in terms of taking care of my own children.

It really depends in my weekdays situation. If i worked with it lightly, then i'll grab the opportunity. If i know that im over fatigue, thats the time that i would not accept it. But there are lot of factors contributory to my decision. If i reallyneed the money , thenaccimpanied by luxurious goal and the offer is really necessary. If i like the job well, that could be part of my motivation to extend my work because when i love the environmnt, i can feel reat while working.

regular days and weekends are same to me,some times i will attend shop on sundays also with regular as weekdays,but we will close the shop at around 2 or 3 pm and the rest of the day is free,but i will enjoy the time with the net,that is mylot and other site,have a nice day
