why do people steal from others graves?

I heard something disturbing today and I have to admit this bothers me as I find it sad why would someone take something off of someone's gravesite?
In this case it was only flowers, but still why would you steal flowers off of someone's grave i find this very sad and disturbing, how does someone look at themselves in the mirror after doing something like that.
I find it very sad and shameful that people do these things and I just don't understand why they do it.

Honey, that is the least of it. Just imagine digging someone up and taking something they were buried with or a gold filling or something. Creepy!

Going into cemeteries doesn't really phase me anymore. In fact I suppose they seem more peaceful now than when I was younger. It just bothers me when people have a lack of respect.

I agree that it is quite sad. I have heard about people doing that, taking the flowers from one grave to put it on another or bring them home to their wife. It is disgraceful that someone would be so uncaring about the person whose grave they stole them from. And I don't agree that they needed them more as another posted, they were simply selfish and wrong. Just my humble opinion.

yes I am totally in agreement with you on that if you want to put flowers on a grave you don't need to steal them to do so that is very sad to do that.
there are many other places you can get flowers from that you don't have to steal them and to do that is so disrespectful and wrong I can't even begin to go into it here, but its the attitude in our country that people just don't care about anyone but themselves most of the time and that is very sad.

yes it is very sad and in this case was my lady grandfather that's plot was messed with and they only took the flowers, but still stealing is stealing and its not something that should ever happen or be allowed to happen and someone needs to put a stop to it as it is very shameful behavior.
