Moving

United States

I've recently moved to the Southern California region and find myself feeling more alone then I've ever been. I spent almost all of my life in my previous city so I never really had to learn how to get used to a new area and city. The odd part about it is that there are so many people here, but yet since I know nobody personally it's like I'm an observer at best. Have any of you ever had similar experiences and if so I'd like it if you shared them. Also any tips on best ways to find new friends would be helpful too...

I moved from New York to New Mexico and its also lonely here. I have a few neighbors who would be there for me if I was in a bind and visa versa but all my real friends are back East. I do have family here but we all don't get along. So I have decied to put my home up for sale and move to Puerto Rico to be with my boyfriend of 22 years. Maybe if you joined an organization in your area or introduce yourself to your neighbors maybe you will meet some new people who will become your friends. How about at work if you work maybe you can meet new friends there. Good luck to you.
