Bear Ripped Off Kid's Head

There has been an urban legen about a family (grandparents, parents and baby) which went to a car safari/zoo in Sweden. They had lots of fun and they took lots of pictures from all kinds of animals. When they came to the spot where the bear was, they put honey on the baby's head, because they wanted a picture where the bear licked the baby's head. The idea was good, but when they put the baby's head outside the window, the bear just ripped the head off and ate it! This one is not at 100% sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if it would be true

Hello Ramses, Bears are really dangerous and tourists are not always aware about this. Here is a YouTube video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OssNau9_NxI A bear is an omnivore like us : it can eat a baby and I would'nt be surprised too if this story was true. Thanks to post in this interest, I like it .

No problem Yeah, people should be a little bit more careful, but I guess that they were just stupid or something (if it really happened) I have actually been in that car zoo/safari where that story took place We didn't see any bears, but the lions jumped on our car

We went in an animal park once. No bears, but I took photos of lions from my car. They were sleeping : maybe have they eaten the previous visitor ?

yeah, its frustrating to know that some people/parents are not responsible enough. sometimes they are not thinking about the risks their actions might do. i think after what happen, they should also put the same thing on their heads and feed them to the bear!

Yeah, some adults just are stupid, and it is sad that they even get children, if they are going to treat them like this... There should be a baby pass or something where the "stupid" parents would learn something that everyone else already knows

Hi, Ramsesxlll. I would never want honey on my baby's head. This is very dangerous. They know that bears are drawn to honey and this is one way for the bear to get a taste of it. And why do they want to have a picture of the bear licking the baby's head??? It was tragic that the bear instead ripped the baby's head off. This is one sick story. I would never take my kids to the zoo so that we can play with a bear.

Yes, it really is tragic. I understand what you feel about this story because you have a baby, and it is very wise to not to do the same with your own baby. Hope nothing like this happens to anyone's baby, but it was the parent's fault... Of course it wouldn't be nice for your baby to never go to the zoo and never even see a bear. Of course you don't have to make the bear play with your baby, but you could securely watch bears with your baby, or child when he /she grows up
