today the masses gather for the celebration of milestone birthdays for both of my daughters. born nearly exactly 11 years apart (the 14th and 15th of april) they both turned 10 and 21 this past week. biggie birthdays to be sure ballons are set to be blown up, streamers to be hung, and a wish that the weather turns nicer before people start arriving this afternoon. its raining again... SHOCKER! my girls both have their traditional wants for their party.. the oldest has an addiction to my chicken slathered in my secret bbq sauce and dip.. while the youngest goes insane for the punch i make with floating balls of different colored sherbet floating around on the top making it all foamy. what traditional foods and / or activities (theres also a pinata stuffed with goodies for the kids to smack the hell out of) are a standard for yer kids, that if they werent there anymore.. it just wouldnt be a "party" ?

Hey tess! Congrats on both birthdays! You have one "legal" and one one still kind of "youngin"! I think that is really great! And the best part is that they are still "mommies girls"! WTF more could you ask! I wish I could have been there at the party too! I love pinatas! I would have smacked the crap out of it for all those kids!lol And the menu sounds incredible! I just hope that the weather finally did cooperate! The sun came out here, although a bit chilly and I hope you got the sun too! Can't wait to hear all about the party! Hugs, Opal

the weather cooperated long enuff for the kids to beat the stuffing out of a butterfly stuffed with 5 POUNDS of different tootsie rolls LOL Corey and i got the sprite a new bike and helmet.. and the very next day (yesterday) she taught herself how to ride a two wheeler without training wheels all by herself!!! ;BEAMS; i had planned after lunch to go out and teach her how.. but who comes barrelassing into the house roaring "guess what *I* can do mommy!?!?!?!" but the sprite LOL she was so happy and proud of herself i thought her smile would break her face it was SO big!! she then proceeded to drag me outside to watch her ride around in circles over n over again.. that smile never ever leaving her face for a second gods i love that kid so much ;weepy;

Wow! She is one "kewl" kid for sure!That's pretty great that she was able to just get on the bike and ride! It brings back some memories! I didn't do that! I was a bit of a slower learner I guess! Glad the party went well!
