Like you, I also feel guilty because only just a second can't harm you. But sometimes if I'm really in a hurry, I tried to make the sign of the cross and pray silently while I pass the Church. :)

Why should I feel guilty? I pass churches every day and feel no compulsion to enter and abase myself.

i don't pass before a church while walking but while riding a public utility vehicle. I do make a sign of the cross instead.

If you go passed the Church and do not go inside, why would you feel guilty? God did not say you HAVE to do anything in life.. you have the freedom of choice. All he asked for was that we praise him for the wonderful things hes done. I do pray at church, but there is no reason to feel guilt in any religion because one does not follow every rule or commandment. I pray more deeply at home than i do at church. And i believe God cherishes that more than going into a church for 5 min. So no need to feel guilty really=)
