should i go for lasik eye surgery? any side effects?

my eyesight has never been good. it has been like that ever since i was young. but it was great though to have been able to enjoy sports with glasses on all this while. i've just had my eyesight checked as part of an annual checkup. looks like they have become worse. i guess that's most likely to happen as one matures. i'm seriously thinking about lasik eye surgery now. and i've been reading some medical journals to convince myself to. on the other hand i would love to hear some comments from you my wonderful friends here in myLot.
my question is: should i go for lasik eye surgery? any side effects?

Hey tom! I am kind of in the some place as you are right now
except that my medical insurance is really lousy and I would be
afraid to let the doctors touch me! If I had better insurance
I think that I would definitely get the lasik surgery for sure!
I can't see far or close at this point and know that I really
need this surgery and at this point in my life want it! If I
were you I definitely would get it! My Mom has had it in both
eyes and she is fine and seeing better than before! Think about
it! I know quite a few people that have had this surgery that
now don't even wear glasses at all!

I'm really sorry to hear that. Hope you find a speedy solution. It's great to hear your mom has had an eye surgery and is seeing better than before. I've read and have heard of people who have this surgery and are not wearing glasses too. Your opinion and all these are quite convincing. I heard alot bout lasik eye surgery from my friends who tested it sometime ago.They are telling me that its really good and they are even recommending me to get my eyes done as well if i need to.You should try it out and im almost sure that you wont be sorry with the effect at all

I also have bad eyesight but I would never risk it to an operation. I can't see as much as I would like but I can see! How can you think about side effects on eyesight? There isn't any - if you are blind. I don't want a dog to see for me! No thanks.
