On average how much time do you devote to sitting in front of your computer or for that matter laptop, typing away or clicking away? From a magazine review I recently read it was gathered that over 70% of the survey respondents spent at least 5hours daily in front of their computer be it for work or non work related purposes. Most people will still use their computer after work either as a form of relaxation to paly their favourite computer games or chat with their friends on networking websites such as facebook or msn. Others may use the computer to contiure working from where they left off at the office. Well are we really spending too much time on our computers?? What do you think??

My job is teaching online. So I spent most of my time in front of the computer. The most hours I ma here in front of the computer is about 17 hrs. When I get tired I just get some rest and sleep for a while and be back to my work in front of the computer again

I think that I do have times where I spend a lot of time on my laptop. I go on excellent sites like My Lot, email friends and watch videos on it. When I was a student I did computing to word process my assignments. Sadly I wasn't into computing when I was a university student. When I was in my first teaching job I got a half price computer for teachers. Then I learned how to use my computer. I was then able to teach my class of children in the school's computer suite. My son uses his computer for relaxation and educational purposes. As long as a person does some physical exercise then it is still possible to use the computer for five hours a day I think. I am busy at the moment so I value any relaxation time I can get on my laptop. It gives me a rest to go on to somewhere excellent like wonderful My Lot. It is so much nicer than what I did yesterday which was clear out my shed. This morning I painted a wall in my bedroom. Now I am on my laptop and enjoying myself with some relaxing time on great My Lot.

i think the answer is of course! we can not escape from the computers now, no matter the assignments of the students or the busnissemen, computer is so essential for them. nobody like to stay before the computer all the day, but the permission is not ours. the reality was related with the computers. we are living not noly in the real world but also the virtual life. we may be more familiar with the virtual one.
