People from other countries can answer this discussion :) My grandpa placed a Noynoy Aquino sticker (the yellow ribbon) on the back windshield of his car. Few days after, he took it off. Why? As he was driving along Katipunan Ave., someone threw something at his car because of that sticker. :| I mean, okay, I get they're not pro-Noynoy, but come on? Throwing stuff at cars with that sticker? Too immature. :| Have you experienced something similar? Did someone do something bad to you because of your choice of candidate? How would you feel if this happened to you? Does this sort of incident happen in your country, too? (If you're not from the Philippines)

It's more than immature, it's highly uncivilized and uneducated. I just hope nothing like this happens to me. I am not pro-Noynoy although I am not against him too. I think that there are just some people who have a different way of upbringing that can really be shocking and hurtful in many ways.

I just hope that the next set of government officials really as in REALLY do something about education, because it's the primary foundation of our country's growth.

Maybe if the media is being fair in giving equal news and such wouldn't happen in the first place. not to mention vote buying, too many commercials from television and endorsements from celebrities which are misleading

Well, we're not really sure if that was the real reason of the person on why he threw something. So we can't really say that if the media would be fair, such incidents would happen. And besides, if the person really is educated and civilized, he wouldn't resort to throwing rocks. :) Although you have a point there. :)

Yes, that's true. Doing that doesn't really affect the decision of the persons concerned. They're just showing how immature they are. They're getting outraged because you're not voting for their candidate. I'm not pro-Binay, but I'm also not pro-anyone who would do something like smashing the side mirror of a motorcycle. :| That really sucks.

jeeyah of yes, Iam from the U S and I am a democrat and evidently' there are not many if any at all here on mylot, and i have got so ma ny insults from otherwise nice my lotters because I voted for obama and am not on the bashing the hell out of obama group, all good staunch Republican who forgot their manners and insulted me so I just do not' answer any political discussion at all. let them have their kicks insulting others as I do not like that at all. Ihad got to the point that I reported anyone who insulted me.I do not like to do that r eally. but why do people have to get mean because we do not always agree with their oinions, do not each of us have a right to our own opinions?

You got insults for voting Obama? WHY? :| You're right, what we really need here is RESPECT. But, is it really, you got insulted here on myLot before? Wow. I guess it's okay to disagree with someone in an educated and nice way, but insults due to differences in beliefs and opinions is a different matter. Thanks for sharing that experience, Hatley. :/

Hello jeeyah, I think it's their way of showing Passion to their candidate, no matter how indecent it maybe. there had been a lot of supporters of noynoy lately, all praises here and there but no criticisms from other supporters of the yellow army since they won't allow it(e.g. face book noy fan page). not to mention that big network is on his side reporting him even more since the last Presidential Harapan debate in la salle. To be frank, the person was showing frustration probably because their candidate is probably being treated unfairly by the media, only showing both aquino and villar only in the news. As for me, there's a lot of issues of Noynoy which he didn't answer, not to mention the frustration on the supporters of other candidates when the Presidential Debate tandem got canceled.most specially my frustation when he suddenly back out on debates, saying it's a waste of time. I guess this is one reason why my mom wouldn't want me to put a poster in front of our Gate..if she did read this, it would convince her even more the i shouldn't campaign anymore

People are looking more into platforms, issues and qualifications. although not as savage as that guy who threw that in your grand parents van, i can understand the frustration that they believed that the popular noynoy to them is not qualified and yet they see him as winnable, which is hurting too for people like me that wanted change.

Is he really not qualified? :/ Or what? Sorry I'm so confused on what's happening, lol. But yea, I wanted change, too. Oh well, I guess everything happens for a reason, we shall just see what will happen this May.

honestly, i am not for noynoy but i dont behave like that, being wild because i am on the side of a politician. they, the people throwing stuff to the car, should realize the the politician they are in favor of doesnt even know them... behaving like that is so immature... yeah, better take the sticker off... afterall, if something happened to your dad, i am sure noynoy wont go to your house and ask if your dad is okay then...

Lol, I'm not really for anyone. I just hate it when other people get to the point of doing immature and uncivilized acts like that just because of politics. And that's true, the politician they are supporting doesn't even know them, I don't really see the point on why they'd do such a thing. I guess they're too illiterate to support their candidate the proper way. And, true that! Lol, the politicians don't really care about their individual supporters..

Are you sure it was the sticker? :) Maybe it's the new tactic of the NP, throw rocks at Noynoy supporters.:) That was just so infantile. Unless what he threw was money, like coins. I have not had the pleasure or displeasure of a similar experience. Probably because I have no car.:)

Well, my mom told me the story, lol. I'm not sure how it happened, though. But I'm pretty sure it's the sticker because that's why my grandpa removed it. The throwers must have shouted something that made my grandpa know that it was because of the sticker. Haha. Oh well.

It is really being personal, in one way or the other. That is why supporters support their candidates right? We cannot change that especially if they were brought up in an environment that they think is good. I think that what they did was right in their own perspective that is why we cannot do anything about it :D If that happened to me, I probably tried to run over them LOL! Just kidding :D

Yes, we can't do something about it but to rant about it (like what I'm doing right now haha). I just hate how our people are becoming TOO uncivilized. Actually, they should be taught a lesson, but I don't think it's possible. Anyway, I don't see the point in what they did, because that doesn't help anyone in anyway. If they support their candidates, then they may do so. But that doesn't mean that they should go and do nasty things to people who support OTHER candidates. Oh well. Lol, it would've been nice to run over them, eh? Haha, totally kidding, too. :)
