I know most of the service providers like AT&T, Verizon & T-Mobile offer visual voicemail for their smartphones. There's 3rd party sites like "youmail" that offer similiar feature. I was wondering if anybody here knows if any company out there that offers some sort of "visual voicemail" service for non-smart phones. I know "youmail" offers their service to landline, too. I'm just looking for some other places to compare & see if I can use one for my non-smart phone.

mmh i think that to use this kind of services from national operators you should have a smartphone because in many cases a cellphone simple or old models did not support these kind of new services!!

"Youmail" or services like it utilizes 3rd party email account to access voicemail & emails, not through built-in or dedicated server like blackberries. What I was wondering is if my phone has capability of getting "push emails", then will those servies work with my phone & if there was any other services like that other than "Youmail".

Most things like that require components non-smart phones don't have. So the chances of finding a "non-smart phone" that is capable of visual voice mail and could run that type of application, are slim to none. You would be better off upgrading to a smart phone. Of course, your phone could very well be a smart

When I had blackberry 9700, it was part of free service from t-mobile. When I changed the phone & looked into "youmail" service, it said something about sending the voicemail via email. I have Sony Ericsson TM717. It's not what you'd consider smart phone like droid or blackberry but it does come with "push email" capability. I was wondering if "youmail" or services like it would work with my phone since my phone can get emails.

wow, that's really cool. Online I have used tokbox they let you send a video mail. It's really cool too! I haven't ever tried anything using a cell phone though. That sounds really fun. I need to upgrade my phone! It just takes calls and pictures...
