Which life pattern would you rather choose? be an employee or start your own business? I'm in this crossroad where I dunno whether I want to work or to just start a business. Could you give me the pros and cons of each and which would you rather choose? thanks :)

At the moment, I do both. I have worked for others for quite a while, and now, I realize that I can do it myself, and move out on my own, in a easy, inexpensive way. It is called Network Marketing. The Pros of working - Steady income, low accountability, work-mate relationships, taxes are automatically withdrawn, benefits, feeling of security(for some) The Cons of Working - Reliant on others for income, have to do what you are told, not always paid fairly or on results, have to ask for time off, need to do what your told, when your told, how your told. The Pros of owning a business - Set your own hours, do what you love to do, no income cap, time freedom, tax advantages, no boss. The Cons of owning a business - no one to hold you accountable, you have to be self motivated, you do most or all of the work, the income is variable, depending on the business you may have to work up to 16+ hours a day. I still will take owning my own business, my MLM takes about 15 hours a week or so, and I am slowly starting to make more money from it. With Appreciation.

Time Management will help you in your quest to do both, if that is something you truly desire to accomplish, I hear that reselling on ebay, can be quite profitable, what I like most about MLM is the chance for residuals. With Appreciation.

wow. I hope I have the time to do both. I'm seriously thinking of doing both. I'm starting out at ebay, reselleing my stuff. It doesn't pay much (yet) but as soon as I have a bigger capital, I'll start investing more time into business. Thanks for your comment

Dear friend, If I have enough cash to invest, then I would start a business. Moreover if I have limited amount I would do any work for a better earning and living. Moreover I like to start my own business. The much better the business grows more responsible the person becomes. In work we are under certain pressure and it all depends upon the pattern of work given. Business is our money and our profit. But for business one needs those talents of a business men so that it could grow better.

I would like to start my own business or better yet improve our family's business. Majority of parents would like to have their children stable jobs because of the sense of security a job can provide; however, if you are going to study the way of those who are rich they have their own businesses. I would recommend that you read Rich Dad, Poor Dad books of Robert Kiyosaki and if you are a Filipino read Chinkee Tan's books. Being an employee means to work within a fixed time frame and income proportional to your capabilities or position; however, you are making the owners rich not you. Besides did you know that an employee has the highest tax deduction? Having a business, on the other hand, means you must learn the ins and outs of your business. You must operate it not by remote control; there will come a time that you can delegate your work to others so that you will not have to be there physically. A Chinese friend of mine once said "You study so that you work for us, while we Chinese do study to become bosses of our own company."

Yeah. The Chinese think like that. I have a half-Chinese boyfriend and he's working for their family business. He didn't bother to work for a company and apply what we learned in college (which is I.T.)

In starting a business, you don't know if your business will grow or not so it's a bigger risk than applying for a job. But if ever your business grows, you'll be your own boss and there's nothing more accomplishing than that. For me, it's better to start your own business because you'll earn more aside from taking charge of the business.

I guess I'll have to make very sound feasibility studies for business oppurtunities that I might undertake in. This may help me choose among all opportunities which on would give me the biggest/fastest ROI. Thanks
