People encounter media every day of their lives. We rely on media for news and current events. Media is one of our sources of entertainment. But even though media may seem to be a very good friend, it also have its downside. News on TV, radio or print are sometimes exaggerated but we believe in them. Media has also set stricter and higher standards when it comes to beauty. Media has a vested interest. It is a business, too. How does media influence you? Our lives maybe already be revolving around it but we just don't notice...

Media influences our practice, sometimes I'm adapting what I have watched consciously or even unconsciously. But it really help me when I'm really bored. I love watching movies and shows in capable channels.

I agree with you, if an individual will perceive it as an art and stress killer then it will be a good tool. But if a person will perceive it is a violent source of information and may give negative effects on him/her, then it will be done. Mind over matter.

In this world, everything is a business and everything that exists have an effect in our daily living. All things have negative effects if it's already too much. It's like eating lots and lots of chocolates then at the end of the day, you will have diabetes. Media is also the same with other things around us. Media is good because it is a source of information and knowledge that we can use in our daily living, but if we will use it to destroy someone's life, then it will be an effective way to kill someone. If we will use media as a tool for making others life miserable then it will be a bad creation in this world. Media is a source of information but if we use it for selfish benefit it is already a bad tool. It depends whether a person will use a "thing in general" in good and in bad.
