remember using the old mason jars?

I used to do a lot of canning and had tons of jars around all the time. I had quite a stash! I remember when I was a kid everything was in glass jars! That's right, everything! Mustard, ketchup, mayo, peanut butter... it was all glass. That meant that they could be washed and used again! I guess we could use the plastic over too, but they just don't make good tea glasses!

Used to use, still do. I actually use them for everything as I do not like to use plastic. I store our leftovers (those that will fit of coarse) in them as well as I love to make and can my own foods. I try to not use anything with preservatives so I tend to can as much as I can store in the house. I also use the jars to store my spices, marbles, the kids earrings and what ever else. Those mason jars have so many convenient sizes, I love them.

They are handy. The plastic jars have some use, but just not as good as the old glass ones do! I used to can or freeze everything. I should be able to get back into it pretty soon.. I think!
