Flat screen LCD or the usual/traditional type of TV?

What type of TV do you prefer to have: the flat screen LCD or the traditional one? I go for the traditional one and the type that's not too big and wide. My mom and I have been making a canvass on TVs because we're planning to buy one. Most of the displays in stores are flat screen LCD TVs and we were dismayed because they were rectangular in shape. Seems like TV characters are stretched in that type of screen. So we opt for the traditional one because we think our viewing is normal and it doesn't make any difference, does it?

No. The picture is not stretched on a rectangular LCD TV. It is actually called widescreen. The picture is 16:9 aspect ratio compared to the CRT which is just 4:3.

I would definitely go with a flatscreen TV because they take less space and just look better. the quality of the TV is also better. Trust me you don't want to get one of those old fat TVs it will look horrible word is so just go with a flatscreen LCD.

I think flat screen one fit well in big halls where as the conventional ones of small size can fit in small spaces. it is a matter of convenience.

LCD is good to eyes and bad to your purse. Traditional Tv is bad to your eyes compared to LCD but good to your purse. In LCD you can enjoy good quality picture density and take only little place.

At the moment, I own two traditional syles of television screens. I would love to own a flat screen. I have family members with flat screen tvs and they are quite pleased. My next tv purchase will definitely be a flat screen I 'm sure.

An HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE PLASMA and lots of Blue-Rays or HD stuff to watch ): But since there is no money and being jealous of a friend is the only thing at the moment that I can do since there is no money to a plasma, a decent LCD is the thing to do. Also LCD Normal TV. Specially in the colors and the quality of image. Normal TV make HD stuff show blur like hell _
