As i observed every time i sleep too much it affects my eye vision. My eyes can't adjust easily on bright lights...some times i feel like my eyes crossed.
If I'm lack of sleep i do also experienced this. My eyes having a hard time adjusting ...either I'm watching television or reading. Is this also caused by stress? I experienced this before and visited my ophthalmologist and found out nothing wrong. Maybe this was caused by being lazy in waking up early.
Have you ever experienced like this? I think i need to exposed my eyes in green stuff... like going out to the garden?

hi simone!
how are you? its been so long...
well, i understand you coz i am experiencing the same! haha
and aside from having a blurry vision after i wake up, sometimes i also have a bit headache! and when i look longer on the computer, i also feel like my eyesight is not as clear...that's when i oversleep but when i have lack of sleep, my eyes are reddish! lol! and teary. i think i already have dry eyes!
mybe what your eyes need is a rest and enough sleep...not over, not less but enough!

hello.
yup! i regularly open my account but my mind is empty to participate and to create a new discussion.
I Do experienced that. one day i woke with blurry vision and i panicked. I cover my left eye and try to read few words but it was hazy. I examined the other one but it was so clear so i panicked and cry. After a few minutes of rest and had a bath it's normal again. I guess when i'm sleeping i put pressure on it that is why it affects my sight. Headache? well, yeah! and sometimes "naduduling" due oversleep or lack of rest. I guess i need to let the sun touches my skin. I rarely go out.
I guess these are one of the factor affects my eyesight. Anyway Limit your self in using PC,at least 2 hours then rest.
Thanks for the response

I have bad vision anyway and if I’m tired it is definitely worse. What can make it worse for me is getting face cream in my eyes! I know it sounds strange but I could not figure out why my eyes were blurry and sore every morning for ages until I discovered it was the cream accidentally getting into my eyes! Lack of sleep can affect many things and vision is certainly one of them, I find it affects the speed in which I focus; it doesn’t happen if I am well rested.

Hmmm.. Never felt like that when I oversleep, instead I feel like I'm lazy the whole day if I sleep more than 7hours a day. As for stress, it's usually eye-twitching movements that I feel when I'm stressed or have used my eyes in front of the computer much longer than it could take.
I have heard or read online that in order to keep your eyes in good shape you must not overwork it, once in a while after a few minutes or hours in front of the computer, it's good to stretch and look at the farthest corner you could see in your office or perhaps look out the window.
Another cause of stress on eyes would be contact lenses, which is why it is recommended that you don't use your contact lenses in long periods of time during the day.

This is so very true with me as well. I think that this happens to everyone as they get up or at least most people. There are times where the bright lights can be overwhelming. I wince when they bombard me when I wake up. It is something that catches me off guard a lot of the time. I do not think it is just anything wrong but I have pretty much guessed the reasoning.
Our eyes have been shut for the entire night. Thus we are in pitch darkness. When the eyes have not been exposed to light for that long, it can be a bit of a shock to suddenly get bombarded by lights. I know for a fact that it takes a bit for my eyes to assimilate to the light when I wake up. I am glad that I am not the only person who appears to have these difficulties with the bright lives.
