Boxing's Loss: Edwin Valero

The untimely death of Edwin Valero was a great loss for the boxing world. He was a very talented, skillful and brave fighter. His record before he died was 27 wins all via knockout with no defeat. According to Bob Arum, he was being primed for a fight against Pacman. His death shocked the world because, according to reports, he committed suicide in jail, after he was arrested for his wife's murder. Its really very sad for someone with a very bright future to end his life in a seemingly senseless manner.

yes I agree. Mind you I am not a boxing fan but my husband is and to see such talent wasted... My hubby explained to me the situation and what happened. Yes he said that, it will be one heck of a fight between him and pacman, but well.. We don't really know what prompted him to kill his wife, he admitted this and much less why he killed himself. Perhaps he can't face the thought of being in jail for the rest of his life or maybe he just really feels guilty about what he did to his wife... But whatever the cause is, the end result is still the same, boxing has lost one of its greatest fighters

yes, i agree with you chaime. edwin valero is really an explosive fighter. Its such a waste that he has to end his life. Now his children (still very young) are already orphans. Really is a sad day for boxing.

Yeah it is really sad for that great talent to be wasted. Valero vs Pacquiao could have been one hell of a fight!

How unfortunate and tragic indeed. He had been beating his wife for a long time but his wife had been covering up for him. His energy in the ring goes with his psychological make up. I would like to believe that he's a little sick.
