Do you hesitate to post a topic because you afraid of its outcome?

April 21, 2010 5:52am CST
In my first post here in myLot,I have to overcome the hesitation I felt,I'm quiet afraid of the outcome or maybe myLotters don't make any respond and doesn't have interest in responding. But now this is my third post of discussions and still feel don't much confident about it yet. I just hope I can overcome fears to make myself better in posting a topic. And I hope to have more responses from you to help me boost my self confidence. Thank you for your opinion and views,..

Yes I am... specially when it comes to nationality or some religious matters. I think these are very sensitive topics and people can easily get their feeling hurt by the comments the discussion can get. I usually avoid commenting or discussing this topics..

It's never easy when you start here in MyLot land, when I first came here I was really nervous about starting any discussions but I soon overcame those nerves and got stuck in. Having friends on here makes it easier for you to find responses on your discussions, and as you gain in confidence you will find others responding more frequently

Hi, That's really true I feel bit nervous and hesitate at first,And from time to time I have to look after the posted topic is there anyone gets interested to respond, it makes me more hesitate when passing a few minutes without any trace of response. I should overcome this and thank you for your effort and help in responding few of my discussions. Happy myLotting!

I sometimes avoid responsing to some discussions because I fear someone or someone will critize me! The wrong way! I am very sensitive and sometimes when the critisim is postive or not I fell insulted. I don't take critisim well! If My confidence was npt so crappy I'd response more to discussions I'm interested in!

I hesitated once on posting a topic because I was afraid of getting no responses from it. It was about a musical band, I fear I'm the only one interested in talking about this band.

I dont really post many discussions I am a replyer, I think to overcome this you will need to think positivly, and there are many of us here on myLot so at least one of us is bound to reply. I am not sure if you do but if you reply to the people that comment on your posts they are more likely to comment on other posts made by you! Hope this helps!! Happy myLotting!!

Hi krystel__mh Welcome and do not be afraid of us Mylotters, we are really a pretty friendly group here, and a lot of newcomers probably have the same feelings as you do right now.I have been here a little over two years and I too felt that way at first but soon was made to feel so welcome. Once you start getting responses and also posting more your name will get noticed and mylotters will say hay that Krystel sure does give nice responses to my discussions so I am going to respond to some of hers too. Maybe its a lot like learning to swim, first you stand on the edge, then you dive in and once you have done that each time gets easier. You will pick up some friends and soon get to having so much fun you will be glad you came here.

In a way I am, because I have a very harde time trying to think of a good topic for a discussion. I think that alone worries me at times, as once I start a discussion, I would hope to get enough users interested that they would want to respond. Each of my discussion has less than a 100 responses, as I am juar nor that lucky to get that many. I am thankful for what I do receive though, as it is much better than no responses, wwhich I haven't had, so I am lucky on that score. It is much easier for me to post responses to other discussions, than to start my own. I figure as long as I can post, then I will do what works for me. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

i do not hesitate to post discussions in myLot.. actually everytime i make a post i am getting excited.. i wanted to see how will myLotters respond to it... if negative response, no problem at all... we have different perception so why should i fell bad with their negative response... if i found my discussions with only little responses it does not affect me still for me to stop posting another one again. myLotters just show or just telling me that i should open a topic that others may found it interesting too to respond with... it is your freedom of speech so why hesitate?
