Did you have maternity pictures taken by a professional or have a family member or friend do them? I was going to have mine done professionally but I ended up having my sister so them for me. It was fun and it was much more of a relaxed time and the pictures turned out really well.

My maternity pictures were taken by family members...mostly my husband. I honestly didn't even think about getting them done professionally. But then again even if I had I probably wouldn't have bothered to do it as I was more focused on my pregnancies than anything else at the time anyway. LOL Happy mylotting!

Honestly, after seeing the ones my sister did, I wouldn't change them at all. There is something more special about having them taken by family than the typical posed shots, you know?

I think that's a good way to go. Certainly saves you a lot of money that way and it's some fun time with family. Unfortunately, I don't really have anyone around that could do that for me except for my grandparents and they're not very good with a camera at all. So, when I go in for maternity pictures pretty soon it'll be professional. Luckily, I know a friend who works for Olan Mills, so she'll be doing my pictures and usually they have a pretty good deal. We usually get the one pose bundle for $12, but having to choose just one pose is sometimes annoying, so we might fork over another $70 for pictures, but we won't know really until we go in and get the pictures taken. ^_^

I was going to go with Olan Mills myself but my sister really wanted to do them. I'll probably go with Olan Mills for the baby pictures because they have that Watch Me Grow package. How far along are you?

We just started trying and I don't *think* I'm pregnant this month, but we'll see. If not this month then hopefully next month, so it'll be a little while still before we have to go in for the maternity pictures. :) Gives us a little while to think about what we want to do for them.
