dvd read write

MY CD/DVD drive isn't functioning.Do i have to replace the CD/DVD drive or do i have to also buy the DVD read write along with it as i wish to make a CD of all the photos I've downloaded?Thanks in advance for your valuable views.

yes that is the only thing you can do..u have to buy a new one.. or chek the cables which are inserted in the rom.. are those wires ok?
