Has anyone tried these new shoes that are supposed to tone your legs while you are doing your general everyday walking? I don't see how they would work without you getting real tired and sore? Anyone tried them yet?

I have the sketcher shape-ups. I had them for about 6 weeks now. You will really feel a difference in them. The first weeks is the hardest I usually walk for an hour everyday and it takes me about 30 min to start working a sweat. Well, the first time with these I was sweating from the first 5 minutes. They are really hard to walk in at first, I guess that is the point ... But it gets better the more you walk. Now I walk for an hour without feeling any difference. But they do mad changes in toning my lower body. I really recommend them but you have to walk in them like at least 2-3 days a week.

I actually just bought a pair of these about a month ago from Payless. They sell the Champion line of toning sneakers there. They have two kinds there. The one that I wanted has a thicker bottom and I think probably tones better and is more expensive. They were sold out of that one. So I got the lower priced one at $29.00. This sneaker is very nice looking compared to the higher priced one. This pair is surprisingly comfortable and I don't notice my feet feeling any different when I walk. As for toning my legs, I think it's too soon to notice a change right now. I'll let you know though.
