Everyone is rooting for the Lakers and the Cavs barging into the finals.. How about this Texas powerhouse teams that have also a mix of young and veteran players. This series is also a great series with Dirk Nowitzi against Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili against Caron Butler and Jason Terry against Jason Terry. This is a very good matchup in the West. I think that these will be a seven game series with the Mavs winning.

I can feel that San Antonio Spurs will win this series. Last year, they was been swept by Dallas mainly because Manu Ginobili did not play. This series, Manu Ginobili is present, so as long as he will remain healthy, Spurs will win in my opinion. The Spurs is ahead now 2-1 and will have a home court advantage on game 4, so I can see that it will become 3-1. Manu may have a nose injury but it will not affect him that much, he will still be the key for the Spurs to win. You know what, I like the Spurs and Manu Ginobili, I just don't like the mentality of Tony Parker, he just doesn't like passing the ball to Ginobili. He is selfish and ballgrabber. That is the downside of Spurs. But I can still see that the Spurs will win the series with Manu Ginobili playing. Have a pleasant day. Happy myLotting! :)

I'm rooting for Mavs. I've been a Mavs fan since Dirk started playing. I think Mavs is a very strong team now and could beat any team in the playoffs today.

i am also following this texas battle, the rivalry between the san anotnio spurs and dallas mavericks. so far, the series is tied, but the spurs have grabbed the hopmecourt advantage by winning game 2. now the next two games will be played in san antonio, the mavs have to win at least one to get back the homecourt advantage. i think this series will go a long way. like you, i am rooting for the mavs.

The Dallas Dirks are really in a slightly better position than los Spurs are at the moment. I mean, the Spurs have been wounded for a while now. The Big Fundamental(Shaq's nickname for Tim Duncan) has lost a step, is appears to be on his way out of the league. Manu and Parker couldn't stay on the floor long enough this year to strike fear in any other team. The combo of Dirk and J. Kidd is very nice, but if they have to face the likes of Melo and Billips, it's over for them. I view those two Texas teams as being a regular season threat. It's a marathon, and they sometimes end up breaking down before the real season gets underway. If The Spurs make it to the western finals, I'll buy a hat just so I can eat it. I wonder if they make nacho baseball caps? hmm... If Dallas makes it, I'll be less shocked, and may even root for them to get to the finals. It would be pretty cool to see if Dirk can redeem himself for what happened against the Heat a few years back. Then again, LeBron could be a larger, more consistent version of Wade... ...in which case, I don't like their chances of winning the whole thing this year.

This is a good matchup on the west, but i think Dallas still got the advantage on the matchups. Dallas got better recruits this season than San Antonio, specailly guys who came in from Washington that gave them more man to rotate. Caron did jell with the team early. Haywood can help Dampier cover Duncan in the middle. On San Antonio's side, Jefferson and Mcdyess doens't really have a good season. they didn't get exactly what they want from Jefferson who is expected to add more firepower.
