If you are the analytic type then i suggest you go into Networking. It includes building, maintaining and securing. Building such as designing the network and how much it would cost. How things would operate once you have them in place. How to secure them from attacks. And of course how to maintain them in order to avoid downtime and be in top performance.

Networking will go a long long way since it is the very basic of connecting the world as a whole. As new technologies in networking are developed, the more it will evolve. I am talking about connecting your network client to the switch/hub. Connecting the switch/hub to the router. Connecting the router to the modem. And the modem to the ISP and the ISP to the backbone to the rest of the world. The only way is up in networking. On top it all, securing everything in its path. Newer ways will be discovered and invented. People need to connect with others. Example nowadays we are running out of IPv4 so IPv6 has been invented.

Hi elsoft12! My professor said that today's trend in information technology is Web Designing and Business Oriented Software Programming. I am still at my 2nd year of college in information technology so i am not that opened in the IT Industry. In web designing my professor said that PHP Programming is very in demand nowadays because many are interested in creating websites and earning from it. Few schools only offers PHP Programming so basically it is learned by self study. My suggestion is even if this course is not offered on colleges/universities you must have a deeper understanding about this matters because of its high demand in the market. Other suggested languages that you must study are c#, Java, c++ ( for foundation ) and Advance Visual Basic. This is according to my professor. I wish this can help each IT people here at myLot! Good Luck! ^^
