What is your experience with dating sites?

I joined a local dating site not long ago. And then..completely strangers started to tell me how much they miss me or how much they care for me. That was very funny to me and I just laugh at that...in the beginning. Then I started to wonder if there are any normal men left at all? 
And is there a woman that would believe such silly words? What do you think of this and what is your experience with dating sites?

Hey Bananamen, why would you join a dating site? Are there no men available where you live? Dating sites are a prime place for scams, I joined one a few years ago and all I got was "pretty" women setting me up for a scam. Some women even used pictures of sexy models to represent themselves. I am quite sure that some of the women were actually men posing as women to make money out of unsuspecting men who were simply looking for a date or a companion.
I can assure you, there are still some normal men around. Those that try there luck on dating sites are not so normal.

Thank you for your response Geomos. Well actually there are no men available...at least those that I know. And there are not many possibilities for me right now to meet new people. So I decided to try a dating site. I guess that they are many scams there, but that just crossed any limits. You can't make money from that site actually, so the only explanation for such behavior is just foolishness. I have no idea how somebody can expect to attract a woman by taking her for a fool. It would be funny if there were only a few men like this, what is scary is that almost all are like that. And these men are also in real life, we are a small country..

That is sad that you can't meet any decent men. I agree with you that there are very few men (even in real life) who are normal but I can assure you there are some ;-)
I have heard of dating scams where the "woman" would make advances to the guy on the dating site and then when the time comes to meet she will demand money for air ticket and then more money for a sick family member and ...and ...
I am not sure if it would work the other way around but I am sure there are some scammers who will try anything.

dating site are very bored, feeling bored in all those sites,they dont know feeling of us,,,,
