For our Body of 2009 Winner, Alan Sahin, late nights and one too many drinks in the Student Union had a lot to answer for, including a fateful decision to run the London Marathon whit just 3 month`s training. Alan freely admits that after going to University, he gained a stone around his waistline following the traditionaly inhealthy excesses of student life. FITNESS FATE For Alan, one too many drinks led to a blurring early morning phone call with a friend, who was recruiting Marathon runners to raise money for the charity VICTA (Visually Impaired Children Taking Actoin). FINDING SALVATION Alan was directed towards the meal planner to help him get an idea of what calorie intake he should aim for to start sheeding excess weight. After a little research, he decided to give products a try - Promax Exteem for clean protein between meals and after the gym, plus Thermobol to support the weight loss attained whit mixture of cardio (skipping or running on the treadmill) and weights. MARATHON FITNESS With just 2 months left to get Marathon fit, he ante was upper and Alan hit the pavements to acclimatise his joints to the impact of road running. In addition, he adopted interval sprints to speed hiss fitness development while boosting metabolism and fat loss. Alan also developed another useful way to speed his metamorphosis by controlling his carbohydrate intake. With just one month until the Marathon, Alan had developed the fitness and physique to battle the pain trough 18 mile training runs, aided by a good playkist and the sights of London. Whit the big day approaching, the attention switched to tapering his training volume and ditching the low carb approach to carb-load ready for action Since Alan`s inspirational achievement, hi`s kept up his love of fitness, nutrition and maximuscle and now aims to compete in a triathlon and run a sub 3.5 hour marathon.
