Why would you go to a movie theater?

Why would someone go to a movie theater when that movie is going to be played on television? Of course, it will take some time before it does happen. That movie will also be released on DVD and probably with scenes that were removed when in theaters. See No Evil, Batman Dark Knight, Transformers, and the three Spider-Man movies are just a few of the movies I've seen without going to a movie theater. Why would you go to a movie theater?

I like the large screen, and I like that no one can tell me any spoilers because they saw it before me. Not that I know too many people these days, mostly here on mylot...

That's nice, but if you have your friends forewarned that they will be in danger of major bodily harm if they spoil it for you, then all you have to watch out for are strangers and reviews... I can handle those - but only for a while

To avoid spoilers, you're probably going on the same day when the movie is available. Thanks for responding.

Hi,rovian I'm willing to watch every interested films in theater on the premise regardless of budget..... I like the atmosphere here, hunders of people gathered in the theater makes a demonic environment, not only u can take part in mutual actions during the whole playing process in that paticular precinct, but also meanwhile the most important, all the feeling raised through watching the movie from people there are extremely aggravated, even a slight sigh could vibrate in the entire hall,so impressive......

The big screen, and a superior sound system. Especially the IMAX, where the screen is 80 feet high and the auditorium has 40 speakers. It is a totally different experience, even when I turn my lights down low to watch it at home.

well lets see here rovian people go to the movies to enjoy a film when it comes out not wait a month after it is out. But one of the main reason i go out to see a movie is to hang out with some friends or go to a movie with my girlfriend thats when it gets really fun (=

If scenes are removed and saved for the DVD release, why not wait? Thanks for responding.

I havent been to the theatres since I was 13. I went with friends for a birthday party and I think I have only gone once before that lol. I wasnt ever much into going to movies and I dont plan to. I usually like to watch the movies on TV or I jst buy movies I like on DVD. There are not many movies out these days that i like anyways. I am more into the older classics.

The last time I went to the theaters was maybe six years ago. I went so I could get one of the free Yu-Gi-Oh cards they were giving out. Thanks for responding.

The main reason why people go to the movies is for recreation. They just want to get out of their house and go somewhere and choose this as an option. Moreover seeing some movies on the big screen is a far more enjoyable thing than watching it in the house. The sound system and the big screen all add up to give a lot better experience than you can get in your house.

On a big screen or on a small television screen, people will still see the same things. Thanks for responding.
